Pasteurised sea urchin pulp
Sea urchins (scientific name: paracentotus lividus) live on the sea bottom and eat algae. They are hermaphrodites, although they are often called “female sea urchins” because they have tasty, coral-coloured gonads called “eggs”. The “eggs” are extracted and eaten raw as starters or used to dress tasty pasta dishes. Blue Marlin’s sea urchin pulp is packaged in 55 gram cans or glass jars. The pulp is pasteurised, ensuring the product can be stored for some time.
